Founded 1972 as junior college of Seoul National University. Reorganized as an independent university 1981. Instruction is given by radio, TV, computer network system, audio cassettes and correspondence, and students have to attend several face-to-face classes per semester. A State institution under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education.
